100 Cops Won't Help Oakland

Date:
Thursday, August 15, 2002
Time:
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Event Type:
Meeting
Organizer/Author:
Location Details:
3316 Grand Ave., Walden Pond Bookstore

I saw flyers all over Grand Lake advertising this meeting against Jerry Brown's new plans to hire 100 new cops in Oakland. The meeting is by the International Socialist Organization. Jerry Brown's plans come at the same time they are taking millions from Oakland Unified's school budget so that children like my own will go to even worse schools in the future. I'm definetly going to check this meeting out - I hope other groups hold meetings on the same theme.
