The Institute for MultiRacial Justice in collaboration with JustAct, OLIN, HOMEY, PODER, Let's Get Free, Youth Force Coalition, Underground Railroad, SOUL, and Youth Together proudly presents its first SHADES of POWER, YOUTH of COLOR Video Festival. The festival will feature videos by or about youth and will cover many topics including: the movement against Prop 21, women organizing, misrepresentation of youth in the media, date rape & domestic violence, building unity between Palestinian & Israeli youth, anti-war protests, women in hip hop, welfare, housing, and much more. There will be an EVENING program of LIVE performances featuring Rico of Prophets of Rage, Youth Radio, and Youth Speaks. The festival will consists of three programs from 11am-1pm, 3pm-5pm, & 6pm-8pm. The live performances are from 8:30pm-10pm. The entire festival is FREE to all youth(under 21), $5 donations for others, $2.50 for seniors, students, disabled, or low income. No one turned away for lack of funds.
