Withdraw from U.S. Bases: Appeal from Okinawa" A powerful film documenting the popular outrage (a series of 50,000 person rallies) in Japan over the rape of a 12 year old girl by three U.S. marines and the years of suffering caused by the presence of the US military in Okinawa. The film was sponsored by Japanese citizen groups in cooperation with the local government of Okinawa. Currently, rather than listening to the demands and the voice of the people of Japan, the U.S.marines have a plan for building another military base on top of a beautiful coral reef. Jim Stockton of Okinawa Support Network will give an update on the current situation.
