On Wednesday, May 29, 2002, the San Francisco Main Library will present a lecture titled “The Global Water Crisis”. Designed to examine both the global and California water crisis, this lecture will explore the contributing factors of this crisis and what is being done to protect the remaining water resources. Moderated by Claire Hope Cummings, of KPFA-FM Berkeley, this panel will feature Dr. Peter Gleick of the Pacific Institute, who directs several Institute research projects related to freshwater resources, environmental security, and climate change and Zeke Grader, Executive Director of the Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen's Associations.
