The 2nd annual House 4 The Homeless will benefit The Emergency Housing Consortium (EHC), which shelters and supports runaway and abandoned youth in and around the San Jose area. Every day, thousands of young people between the ages of 13-17 find themselves without family or shelter and the EHC has been working tirelessly since 1980 to bring homelessness to an end in Santa Clara County. This year's goal is to raise $25,000 through raffle ticket sales and corporate sponsorships. The dedicated coordinators and youth volunteers of House 4 The Homeless have chosen to donate all the proceeds to EHC's full service program for homeless youth, Our House, as their way of giving back to the community. House 4 The Homeless is a one-day festival of House music, dancing and outdoor games and activities. Raffle winners at the event will receive myriad prizes donated from a list of local sponsors such as Adobe and Red Bull. It is an afternoon event for young people and families that will be held on Sunday, May 19th from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Coyote Hellyer Park in San Jose. There is no admission fee, donations are requested. For more information, please visit our website at www.house4homeless.org.
