African Philosophy Springing from ancient sources, African philosophy, unlike Chinese or Arabic, was not written down. Some say traditional African thought was communal, lacking individual philosophers, and expressed the unanimous beliefs of the tribe. Modern African philosophy is, of course, written down. To what extent does it reflect African tradition? Or is it entirely new? We will interpret Nkrumah as a philosopher. Brief Presentations followed by Open Discussion Feast on Refreshments!
