While we mourn the terrible loss of life from the attacks on September 11th, we don’t believe war is the solution. Come hear what the voices of the mainstream media don’t want you to know and learn what you can do to stop the Bush administration’s drive to war abroad as well as the backlash against Arab and Muslim people and civil liberties at home.

Parents welcome, ON-SITE CHILD CARE WILL BE PROVIDED. Please call and let us know if you are bringing children and if so, how many: 415-675-5826

The Town Hall Committee welcomes all those who oppose war and hate crimes and want to build a democratic movement to join in. 500 people came to our first meeting -- bring your energy and ideas next Thursday and help get down to work to stop this war! Our next meeting will be at the First Unitarian Universalist Church at 1187 Franklin Street at the corner of Geary in San Francisco at 7pm on Thursday, October 4.

Three Points of Unity of the SF Town Hall Committee to Stop War and Hate:

  1. Stop the War.
  2. Defend Arab, Arab American, Muslim and people of Middle Eastern descent from attack. Oppose all racist scapegoating.
  3. Defend civil liberties from government attack.
