Boom explores the ironies of the recent economic boom-and-bust cycle of the Bay Area's highly-touted internet economy. Particularly examaning its effects on largely working class neighborhoods like San Francisco's Mission District. Many Latino families and working class artists have been forced out as landlord's have sought to cash in on the dot.com immigration and the sudden boost in demand for high-cost housing. Great music and archival footage round out the interviews with artists, families, activists, mayor Brown, loft developers and dot.commers.
