Bush has declared a "crusade", congress rushes to ravage the Alaskan wilderness in the name of "security," and the constitution is being ravaged in front of our eyes. Meanwhile, the corporate media breathlessly hypes "America's New War," and insists that Americans are united in a desire to bomb someone, anyone.

The New York Independent Media Center and Paper Tiger TV have joined together to produce two videos that tell the other side of the story. The videos examine the Corporate media's eagerness to exploit our grief and shock by rushing to war, as well as profiling the efforts of progressive forces in New York to provide a more humane response.

These videos are the first of a new series by the Independent Media Centers, Global 911, which will examine the causes of and response to the attacks on New York and Washington.
