Protest Madeleine Albright at Cody's (Telegraph)

Date:
Wednesday, February 11, 2004
Time:
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Event Type:
Protest
Organizer/Author:
Aaron
Location Details:
Cody's Books
Telegraph Avenue at Haste Street
(3 blocks South of U.C. campus)

Madeleine Albright, as Clinton's Secretary of State, helped maintain the embargo that -- by her own admission -- had killed half a million Iraqi children by 1996. When questioned in a television interview at that time, she said that that embargo was "worth the price" of those deaths!

Cody's not only has the nerve to invite this murderer to promote her book, but they put a fawning summary of her career in their calendar!

Let's show up at Cody's to make it clear that honoring state terrorists is not acceptable in Berkeley, or anywhere!
