Class on ancientorigins of gender hierarchies

This is going to be an eight-week class entitled Power in Eden: Origin of Gender Hierarchies in the Ancient World, taught by Bruce Lerro. Bruce is the author of From Earth Spirits to Sky Gods, the socioecological orgins of monotheism, individualism, and hyperabstract reasoning from the stone age to the axial iron age. The class will discuss perspectives on when, how, and why men came to dominate women in ancient societies.
