Film Screening: FED UP!
About 70 percent of the food we eat contains genetically modified ingredients that aren’t labeled. The film, FED UP! answers many questions regarding genetic engineering, the Green Revolution, genetic pollution, and modern pesticides. This entertaining, informative, and compelling overview of our current food production system uses archival footage and features interviews with farmers, scientists, government officials, and activists such as Britt Bailey from the Center of Ethics and Toxics; Anuradha Mittal of Food First; and Vandana Shiva from the Research Center for Science, Technology, and Ecology; as well local organic farmers. Q&A with Angelo Sacerdote of Wholesome Goodness Productions and Jason McKenney of Purisima Greens Farm to follow.
