REPORT FROM CHIAPAS Speaker: Heike Kammer of SIPAZ-Chiapas (Servicio Internacional para la Paz/International Service for Peace) Monday, October 27st, 7 PM New College Cultural Center, 766 Valencia Street, San Francisco Hear the latest news from Chiapas, Mexico . . and learn about efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace. This will be an excellent opportunity to hear the latest news from Chiapas, as well as an update on the work of the SIPAZ team there, from a knowledgeable source who has been doing the hands-on work of helping to build peace there. Through public talks and media interviews, Heike's visit will also be an opportunity to strengthen SIPAZ' efforts to mobilize public opinion in support of a just and lasting peace in Chiapas. Servicio Internacional para la Paz/International Service for Peace is a coalition of North American, Latin American and European organizations formed to support the peace process in Chiapas, Mexico. SIPAZ combines violence reduction and peacebuilding strategies in Chiapas with efforts to inform and mobilize the international community.
