Come to our community picket/speakout with an open mike, each week outside Bechtel corporation by the Global Women's Strike. Regularly since March 27. All welcome. Women pay the hightest price for the real 'axis of evil': war, privatization and globalization and Bechtel profits from all three. Women are cnetral to the fight against Bechtel and are holding it accountable. Bechtel: -armed Iraq with biological, chemical, nuclear weapons; -built nearly half the nuclear power plants in the world; -received $680 million contract from Bush to 're-build' Iraq; -privatised the water in Bolivia, pushing the price up by %300, denying water as a basic right and prompting a vindictive $25 million law suit against the government of Bolivia; -threatens to destroy the lands of the Shoshone people and the health of millions in Nevada and ARizona; -is one of the top four beneficiaries of "corporate welfare"; everywhere women struggle to make up for the devastation, suffering and loss of resources, healthcare, welfare and other life giving services cut or privbatized to pay for war.
