Screening of "The Farm: Life Inside Angola Prison"

"The Farm" documents the fate of six inmates at Angola prison, the largest maximum-security prison in the U.S., housing some 5,000 men, three-quarters of them Black and 85 percent of whom will die within its walls. The 18,000-acre penitentiary sits on the site of a plantation that derived its name from the area in Africa that provided the slave labor. The screening will include discussion by a representative of the National Committee to Free the Angola 3, who recently returned from visiting with the lawyers of the political prisoners held at Angola Prison. $5 admission.
