Well, the Long Haul summer movie series is wrapping up, and it's heading out with a bang--- the Situationist classic Can Dialectics Break Bricks. An old martial arts movie originally about Korean anti-Imperialist resistance is detourned to depict the epic battle between proletariats and the bureaucracy. French with English subtitles. This is a free movie screening at 8:30 PM on Friday, August 29, projected onto a big screen via the Long Haul's very own video projector. The summer movie series is all brought to you, the people, free of charge because, well, it's just a nice thing to do. The Long Haul is a not-for-profit community space at 3124 Shattuck Ave., two blocks east of the Ashby BART station. It's across the street from La Pena Cultural Center.
