Film: "Brothers and Others" and Talk by Don Foster and Jon Garfield of the New College Media Studies Program

New College Cultural Center, 766 Valencia Street, San Francisco.
Join us for a screening of the powerful hour-long documentary film by Nicolas
Rossier, "Brothers and Others: The Impact of September 11th on Arabs, Muslims
and South Asians in America" and a talk on related media projects by Don Foster
and Jon Garfield, Co-Directors of the New College of California Media Studies
MA Program. Featuring interviews with such experts as Noam Chomsky and James
Zogby, "Brothers and Others" follows a number of immigrants and Americans as
they struggle in the heightened climate of hate, FBI and INS investigations,
and economic hardships that erupted following the attacks on the World Trade
Center and the Pentagon.
This event is part of the Confronting Disinformation Film and Speaker series sponsored by by the Network Against Disinformation, the Social Justice Committee of Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian
