Say No to Unfair Labor Practices Say No to Discrimination Protest against the City of Oakland Wednesday, June 25th, Noon-1PM Picket in front of the Community and Economic Development Agency 250 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, next to the City Hall (One block west of the 12th Street Bart station) A local Iranian activist and a producer with KPFA’s Voices from the Middle East and North Africa weekly radio program was fired from his position with the City of Oakland in December 2002 as a result of an unfair and discriminatory labor practice. He is a member of IFPTE Local 21. He had been working as an engineer for the City of Oakland for nearly 11 years. Your support in helping him be reinstated and in ensuring that the City will not be able to unfairly fire employees is appreciated.
