Palestinian Activist Sami Awad Will Discuss Strategies for Peace Thursday, June 12, 7pm Christ Church United Methodist 1717 Yulupa Ave (corner of Hoen), Santa Rosa Sami Awad, a peace activist and Executive Director of the Holy Land Trust-Palestine, is coming to Santa Rosa to speak about Palestinian strategies for peace and challenging the Israeli occupation. Mr. Awad has been closely involved in the Palestinian peace movement for more than a decade and is responsible for establishing non-violence, conflict resolution and youth service training programs throughout the region.  Mr. Awad has directed The Holy Land Trust-Palestine since its establishment in 1998. The Holy Land Trust-Palestine focuses on improving lives through community development, by promoting peace and reconciliation, and creating the means for economic sustainability. Mr. Awad will  speak at the Christ Church United Methodist, 1717 Yulupa Ave (corner of Hoen) in Santa Rosa.  Sliding scale $5-10.  No one turned away for lack of funds.
