Join in the creation of a Community Peace Garden in Oakland! Come together to transform a space as a positive, creative alternative to war and dependence on war profiteers. Learn how your food choices relate to the vicious cycle of violence and poverty across the world (including oakland!). Gardening begins at 9am, with a free lunch at noon followed by a peace ceremony with art, music and spoken word. Bring seeds and plants, tools, friends, and a commitment to peace in our hearts, our communities, and our world. Uproot the war machine! Sow justice, harvest peace.
