Democratic Socialists of America sponsors The War at Home; Organizing for Economic and Social Justice, an activist conference featuring workshops such as: Next steps for the anti-war movement; Bringing globalization home: cross border organizing and immigrant rights campaigns make the WTO and FTAA real and involve new constituencies; Health care for all: highlighting this basic human right through legislative and grass roots campaigns to win coverage and protect coverage; How campaigns for living wages and increases in the minimum wage can contribute to movement building, union organizing, and political power; Campus/youth organizing: building the next generation; and more! Speakers include Dolores Huerta (co-founder UFW), Peter Phillips (Project Censored), Harold Meyerson (American Prospect/LA Weekly), Eliseo Medina (Executive VP, SEIU), Bob Wing (War Times), and more.
