M.J. Akbar will be giving a talk and starting a discussion on India, the war in Iraq, and journalism in our times. M. J. Akbar is a renowned journalist and scholar from India, and a former elected member of the Indian Parliament. M. J. Akbar has authored internationally acclaimed books including, 'India: The Siege Within', 'Riot After Riot', 'The Shade of Swords. Jihad and the Conflict Between Islam and Christianity', and 'Kashmir: Behind the Vale'. Mr. Akbar is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Asian Age, a multi edition daily newspaper. He also launched the Sunday newsmagazine and the Telegraph, a daily newspaper, in India.
