*** Outdoor Screening of Anti-War Protests in San Francisco! ***
Where: Dolores Park, 18th and Guerrero, in San Francisco's Mission District
When: Saturday at 8pm
Missed Thursday's historic direct actions to stop the war?
Couldn't be everywhere at once?
Physically sick of the "objective" reporting from the like's of our
local news mannequins?
Crawl out of bed with the impacted news troops and come check out
some historical Iraq protest videos from the last war, plus a variety
of 5 minute fast edits of footage from the streets of San Francisco!
Whispered Media, the Video Activist Network (VAN) and the SF
Independent Media Center (Indymedia) are organizing an outdoor
screening of fresh and classic anti-Iraq war videos at Dolores Park
on Saturday at 8pm.
- Bring a blanket or something to sit on because the grass might be wet.
- Bring some hot tea and cups to share with friends and compadres.
Bring snacks too since we won't be selling popcorn for $5 a bag.
- Bring a donation for SF Indymedia and Whispered Media. SF
Indymedia's site is being sunk by its own success - the site was
averaging four million hits per week BEFORE the war started and the
streets were seized! Now they can't pay the bill for bandwidth...
*** Call for Video Footage and Five Minute Fast Edits ***
- To screen your own video, bring it down to the Park at least 30
minutes before the show starts, or drop it off at Whispered Media
during the day (2940 16th Street @ Capp, just one block down from the
16th and Mission BART).
- Tapes must be cued to start and no longer than 5 minutes no matter how sexy!
- Please include a mix of interviews and action, not just long march shots...
- Fresh sound mixes and music are appreciated...
- If we get too many requests to screen we will just do another show later...
