Michael Stocker, a Bio-acoustician and scientific advisor for Seaflow, will talk about how ocean animals use sound in the ocean - how whales communicate over hundreds of miles with their songs and how schooling fish synchronize to each other with low frequency acoustic energy. He will also speak about the impact of sonar and other human generated noise on these animals and how we can help clear the seas of this recently identified form of pollution. Cost: No charge.
