* for shorter paddle meet at The Warming Hut , the Presidio. Join the pack when they arrive.
3:00pm greet the paddlers at East Beach, Crissy Field.
This will be a paddle for peace in response to a possible war with Iraq and the war that
Homeland Secuirty has waged on our civil liberties. This is not an exclusive paddle, you dont need to be a surfer to join but having experience with the ocean currents is a requirement for all paddlers leaving wit us from Baker Beach. The coast guard will be on stand by to insure water safety and to prevent people from breaching the off limet 25 yd perimiter around the first tower beneath the bridge. Since our current emergeny state is in a code yellow, paddlers will be allowed to pass beneath the bridge without interference. If we move to code orange or red by Sun., being under the bridge will be an illegal act. Our plan of action will be discussed at Baker Beach the day of the action if by chance we move to code red or orange.
There will be an after party at the East Beach at Crissy Field with food beer and music by the legendary surf band The Mermen. If you dont feel like paddling just come to the after party and get crazy with us.
