Based on the Thai-Burma border, he travels around the world to promote the release of Burma’s political prisoners. He himself served 8 years with hard labor in Tharawaddy prison for his participation in the 1988 popular uprising. He received an honored of Award from Amnesty International, Italian Section for his relentless effort. KHIN OHMAR: *Human Trafficking and its consequences* Award-wining speaker and the Women\\\'s Affairs Coordinator of the National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma (NCGUB), based in Thailand. She left Burma during the 1988 democracy struggle and has been promoting women’s human rights for more than ten years. PAW HSET HSER: *Burma\\\'s Army: License to Rape* Member of Karen Women\\\'s Organization (KWO) and the Advocacy Team of the Women\\\'s League of Burma (WLB) in Thailand. She travels extensively to encourage international awareness on the situation of women of Burma, particularly minority women, under the military regime. SAW MYAT MAR: *Women\\\'s Rights is Human Rights* An aide of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (Burma People\\\'s Leader and 1991 Nobel Laureate) during 1988 people\\\'s uprising, and was arrested in 1989 while delivering a letter from Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to a gathering crowd in Rangoon; and imprisoned for three years in notorious Insein Prison in Rangoon, Burma. She is now a member of Burmese American Women’s Alliance (BAWA), based in San Francisco Bay Area.
