If the War on Iraq Escalates - We Must Be Ready! What: Nonviolence Training to Prepare for Direct Action to Stop the War When: This Saturday, January 25th, from 10:30 am to 5 pm Where: CELLspace, 2050 Bryant (@19th) in San Francisco Why: It is imperative that we are prepared for a unified and extremely powerful response to war. Bring your friends, family, and co-workers to this nonviolence training so we may collaborate together, learn from one another, and unite our energies to stop war on Iraq! Nonviolence civil disobedience is a tactic that has been used by such peace and justice leaders as Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. Hundreds of people have already participated in civil disobedience to try to stop a U.S. attack on Iraq. If you would like to join this movement of nonviolent resistance, please attend this Saturday's training by the Ruckus Society, www.ruckus.org. In addition to gaining a more holistic understanding of the role of nonviolence civil disobedience in affecting change, the objective of this training is to provide participants with the opportunity to form or strengthen affinity groups, share strategies, facilitate leadership development, and build relationships that will help to spawn more collaboration in the form of alliance, networks, and coalitions. Cost: $10 Suggested Donation to support CeLLspace! - no one turned away for lack of funds Register by calling (415) 255-7296 x311 or emailing peace@globalexchange.org ** IF THE BOMBS DROP: San Francisco Emergency Response Actions ** 5:00 pm, Day of the Attack: Rally and March, meet at Powell and Market Streets 7:00 am, Morning of the Next Business Day: Nonviolent direct action to stop the war!
