Hwy 24 Overpass Peace Event

Diablo Peace Center will be out on an overpass waving earth flags and other symbols of international goodwill on Saturday, the 11th, weather permitting, and invite anyone interested to join them. They'll start at 3:00 PM and go till dusk, on the St. Stephens/Hidden Valley exit off Highway 24 between Lafayette and Orinda. If you don't have something to wave, don't worry; they've got extra flags. If you would like a ride from the Orinda BART or want further info, call Ken Meyercord at (925) 827-3373. If you're feeling a little depressed about the state of the world on Saturday, come on out. The response from the road will hearten you.
