Campaign for Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations
Organizing Meeting
The war began in 1492. The arrival of Columbus in so-called North America marked the beginning of the white world's assault on humanity with the genocide committed against the indigenous peoples of this land and the enslavement of African people.
As the United States once again prepares an all-out war on Iraq, our schools and the media continue to feed us distortions and lies about United States' role in world. It's about time that we make the link between a society born of slavery and genocide and the current war and violence of the United States. We believe peace can only come about through a struggle for social justice and the pursuit of truth and reparations
Come hear the following speakers and find out about the campaign:
Bakari Olatunji, International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM)
Quetzaoceloacuia, Barrio Defense Committee and
Wendy Snyder of the African People's Solidarity Committee.
Build the Tribunal for Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations in February of 2003. Leave a message for Wendy or Caitlin at (510) 625-1106. Teachers and Artists needed!!
