Helena Norberg-Hodge: Bringing the Food Economy Home!

On International Human Rights Day, with local anti-war actions taking place around the country (www.unitedforpeace.org), it is crucial that we consider how to diversify and strengthen our reponses to the destruction and terror happening around the world. Helena Norberg-Hodge, author of Ancient Futures and Bringing the Food Economy Home, and director of the International Society for Ecology and Culture, will discuss how building local food systems contributes to global peace and sustainability. Helena’s talk will begin at 7:30pm, followed by a reception with local food,wine and music. This event will also mark the launch of ISEC’s Local Food Toolkit, which provides a multimedia outline of the arguments for localization.
