The Prison Activist Resource Center (PARC) presents – “Imagining a World Without Prison” – an exhibit of art and writing from prisoners, former prisoners and family members of prisoners. The show will run from November 10 to 30 at the Black Box, located at 1928 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland. Tuesday - Friday: 5pm - 10pm Also availble for viewing by appointment. Call 510-451-1932 24 hours in advance. The opening night benefit will be Friday, November 15 from 8pm to 1am and will feature speakers, music and food. Speakers include Bo Brown and Linda Evans, former political prisoners and artits; and Danial Cross, Director of Girls in the Hall. Music will include Mindzeye Collective, Molotov Mouths, Unified Theory, La Paz, and a varity of DJs. $5-$25 sliding scale - no one turned away for lack of funds.
