This is going to be an incredible day-long event organized by people from the West Oakland community who are working to reduce air pollution from the Red Star Yeast factory and from 10,000 diesel trucks that drive through our community each day. There will be performers, speakers, and lot's of fun. We are organizing around: - implementing a comprehensive health survey to identify the health problems in our community - creating an asthma center in west oakland - installing 3 air quality monitors in the residential areas - removing red star yeast from our community - community control of Mandela Transit Village Project - one dollar per ruck from the Port of Oakland daily sponsored by Citizens for West Oakland Revitalization
