Q. Is there a dress code?
A. There is no dress code, other than to dress modestly
Q Is the event free?
A. The event is absolutely free, so please bring your family, friends
and anyone who may be interested
Q. Will there be food/refreshments?
A. Light refreshments and snacks will be served free of charge
Q. Are women invited?
A. Absolutely. We encourage all to attend including women, men and youth
Q. Will there be a prayer service?
A. There will be no prayer service for the guests. The host Muslims will
pray the noon prayer, which you are welcome to observe
Q. Is there some kind of a political or religious agenda?
A. Absolutely not. This is a community out-reach program. The only
objective is to let you find out more about Islam and to meet your
American Muslim neighbors
Q. Have you conducted Open Houses before?
A. The Muslim Community Association (MCA) has held open houses before.
However, the scale and out-reach of this program is a first.
Muslim organizations from the Bay Area have come together to sponsor
this event so that as many people as possible are able to attend
Q. Do I need to bring anything?
A. No, just an open mind and a smile :)
Q. I am a Muslim, should I come to help?
A. No. We had an overwhelming response from a number of Muslim
volunteers and neighbors. And we are expecting a large number of
guests. But, please do invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers,
and every one who is interested in finding out more about Islam
