On Thursday, August 29, 2002, from 7 to 9pm at the Fellowship Hall of Humanity at 390 – 27th St. (between Broadway and Telegraph) in Oakland, hear from activists who participated in the Washington DC Rally for Reparations on August 17, 2002. Learn about the growing movement demanding reparations for African people and the return of their resources from hundreds of years of slavery and colonialism and the current reality of police containment and prisons. Find out how to participate in campaign for Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations, building a movement for white people's reparations to African people. The African People's Solidarity Committee hosts Uhuru Movement activists Bakari Olatunji and Joel Hamburger to discuss the mobilization and campaign.
