Sick and tired of corporations poisoning the air you breathe and the food you eat?
Fed up with white-dominated media that never speaks the truth about the streets you live on?
Feel like politicians don't even care about your interests?
Ever heard about anarchism and wondered what it's all about?

Anarchism is an expresssion of the struggle against oppression and exploitation. It is a product of working class struggle against capitalism and the state.

In October 2003, the first ever Anarchist People of Color (APOC) conference happened in Detroit. Building on the success of the Detroit conference, regional APOC conferences are springing up all over the country. Come be a part of the first ever Bay Area APOC conference, to be held in April 2004.

Colored Folks only Anarchist Club? What the heck is that?

Are not whites allowed to joined the colored Anarchist club to fight for whatever it is Anarchist are against?

Sounds pretty racist to me.

When will we stop talking about who's colored and who's not...and just fight for Justice?

I have always been sympathetic to this line of reasoning..

not because of the ridiculous accusation of racism, but because of the arbitrary (and political in a bad way) that 'people of color' is defined. There is the assumption that if you do not bring the proper amount of melanin to the meeting that you cannot be interested in challenging white supremacy, do not suffer from racism, or are 'white'.

It is very disheartening.

I look forward to you actually participating in the organization of this event so that you can join my voice in a chorus against self-righteous exclusion, race baiting, and other tactics that shoudl rightfully be challenged.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
