VEGAN, organic and free from capitalism

by free healthy food 4 all
vegan and organic food free from synthetic pesticides and genetically engineered products is a right for everyone, regardless of income or social status..
recently there was a debate on here about a vegan/organic restaurant, comparing the healthier, cruelty free choice of veganism to capitalism and wage slavery..

the price of vegan/organic (V/O abbr.) food is not attainable for the average worker/student/low//no income, the reason mainly because government subsidizes agribusiness/meat factory, flooding the market with cheap GE/pesticide/beef/etc..

McDonalds, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Monsanto, etc. are all on the government bankroll, often supported with the taxes of the worker/student who becomes dependent on their unhealthy product..

So called "taste" and money aside, why do low income people eat this unhealthy food?

Addiction to fast food is proven, though suppressed info. Saturated fat in beef results in a euphoric feeling as the stomach begins breaking down heavy molecules. The refined sugars/carbs put people on an emotional and physical spiral/cycle from the sugars already broken down being absorbed into the blood at a rapid rate (sugar rush). This feel good rush peaks and then ends in a let down as the insulin is rapidly released to balance the blood sugar level. This cycle leads to hypo/hyperglycemia and ends in diabetes. Not everyone reacts the same, but most people eventually become diabetic from excess refined sugar/flour intake. We need to look beyond the known physiological addictions to saturated fat of beef and into the psychological manipulations from corporate food advertising..

ADM, so called "supermarket to the world" generously funds public television programs and runs their feel good sponsorship messages between shows. By appealing th the PBS audience, they seek to gain credibility for the chemically engineered garbage they pass off in so many products (Kelloggs, Nabisco, etc.) Corporate media does the rest in the constant barage of ads featuring smiling skinny people chomping into hamburgers. The isolated viewer feels the companionship on a subconsciouss level, and associates the fast food hamburger with happiness..

Fast food and genetic engineered/pesticide food is deemed normal and even healthy by mainstream media. Since most corn is now GE (Monsanto Bt) by seed or pollen drift, any corn product offered to people that is not specifically organic would be genetically engineered. Pharmaceutical corporations like Monsanto/Ciba-Geigy add their chemical drugs in the new and exciting "pharma-crops". Young children hear/see commercials telling them corn with chemical cold medicine spliced DNA is really fun..

Urban gardening is a positive step in returning to nature, letting the soil trapped so long under asphalt finally breathe some fresh air. One Mal-Wart parking lot (tear that mutha up) could feed an entire town if polyculture companion planting took the place of the impermeable petroleum residue (asphalt) currently in place. Testing the soil for possible lead and other toxins is important, a thick layer of compost or some initial non-edible remediation crops can usually help with removing soil contaminants..

Growing and sharing non-GE/pesticide/vegan food would also deal with the wage slavery/capitalism problem that currently keeps healthy food out of range for low//no income people. The government will likely continue subsidizing agribusiness food corporations until the overworked soil of monoculture plantations blows away in a sad dust cloud..

Animal factory farms bleed mad cow prions into the slaughterhouse soil, this is not "healthy" food, regardless of what the government says. The MAD COW USA coverup has misdiagnosed many people with Alzheimers/mental illness, when the reality is a slow acting dementia that is not discovered for ecomnomic reasons. The cruel treatment of the animals in cages is absorbed by the human eating it, maybe that is why people are so hostile in our society. not to mention the amount of water and grain it takes to feed cattle. Guesses why the Colorado doesn't reach Mexico? Imperial Valley agribusiness grows thirsty alfalfa to feed to cattle..

Ten people eating grains directly or one person eating government subsidized hamburger..

People want to feel good and healthy, being addicted to McDonalds because that is the only affordable place in town is a dead end option. High blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes are some of the results from frequenting this corporation. If people had good, healthy vegan organic food that was available from our own garden (or the remade Mal-Wart greenhouse), we would not return to the slow suicide of addictive food corporations. Eating, composting and gardening are all part of the same cycle, we don't need detachment from one or the other. Food not Bombs style is come as u are, help out and be part of the action. We live and love on Earth, we all need healthy food!!

Comida no bombas!!
