It's queer that there is no thematic category my post will fit in. ??

by dan elliott (cuibono [at] rcip.com)
I want to post a summary of the last two mtgs of Dr-Bill's project for a Sunday Voter Matinee Feb 22, plus announce the next mtg. What category is that?
I hereby accuse Indybay of flagrant gross Categoryism! Non-Pigeonholeables of the World Unite! You have nothing to lose but your Dewey Decimal number!

when we have time, we can recategorize things if they belong in multiple categories. it helps if the summary gives the reader a real sense of what the article is about.

in the future you might get a better response if you email us (see "contact us" above).
by just a guess
....not that it's a terrible idea in our community.

I like the categories on this site. It allows more updates to happen without recent major events from getting pushed from the front page. Perhaps every post doesnt fit into one category, but Im sure if a lot of posts dont fit people will come up with a new category at some point.

I too have mentioned that voting and election issues have no easy category here, which seems strange to me, given that they are going to be the non-stop hype from now until Nov for a lot of mainstream people.

Similarly, the hijacking of that system wholesale with the e-voting stuff is pretty a prety ugly situation going on under the radar that needs exposure. Why? Not to 'restore voter confidence,' but because, like 9-11 issues, it helps people to be slugged by yet another lie and deception from the so-called government, and show the absurdity of how the government functions.

Other sites, like Portland, do have these categories, both for elections and for issues like 9-11.
