Anarcha Project Update #3

by ainfos
Website Up and Second Interview Tour Complete.
The Anarcha Project, a people's history project covering
interviews with anarchist women, now has a website at
http://www.anarcha.org In the spirit of the project, it seeks to
spread some of the ideas of anarcha-feminism and be as open and
inclusive as possible in the process of the interviews. If you are an
anarchist women or would like to suggest someone, check out the
site and learn more about the project. Many women have been
surprisingly pleased about how fun the interviews are.

The site will also soon host Sally Darity’s “Feminism and
Gender Anarchy Resource Page." She spent time searching the
internet for articles, webpages and other resources that either are
anarchist or radical and address women’s issues, queer issues,
gender issues, or are about anarchist women. She wants to acquire
writing that is currently not on the web and publish it on the web to
make it more readily available. Please visit her call to read her letter
to writers, zinesters, historians, and other interested folks.

Also, Kate James, who is conducting the interviews, just arrived in
her new home in South Carolina after conducting more interviews
with anarchist and anti-authoritarian women in the South. She said
“Being from Arizona, it's inspiring to meet other people from
conservative areas who are organizing and working for liberation.
Thanks to everyone who hosted us and who interviewed with
me.” She is heading down to the National Conference on
Organized Resistance this weekend to present a workshop on the
project.

This project depends upon your participation for contacts and
people to host Kate. Please visit the website and read more about
the project, anarcha-feminism and anarchist women.

"What is at stake is the harvest of an entire world, a harvest
necessary to the whole future human race, one without exploiters
and without exploited"
