# Jan 24: Love and Politics Potluck For many of us, our polyamorous, queer or sex-positive identity is inextricably tied in to an overall vision for progressive change. We wish to live our lives in a way that truly integrates our personal choices and intimate relationships with a commitment to act on that vision.
If you are interested in meeting people with similar concerns to socialize and share views, experiences, and a good time, please come to a potluck social in San Francisco's Hunter's Point district on Saturday, January 24 at 6:30 P.M. Wide ranging discussion will cover our lives, hopes, and dreams as they relate to:
Our vision of a better world
Intentional community
Feminism
Liberty & privacy
Queer liberation
Racial justice
Polyamorous activism
Global equity
Class/worker rights
Personal support and
burnout prevention
Environmentalism
Organizing
Sex-positive living
Nonviolent conflict resolution
And whatever else strikes our fancy.
We wish to create an atmosphere that remains emotionally open and accepting while remaining intellectually stimulating. The whole range of poly/queer/sex-positive folks are welcome. These discussions will be moderated to assure a fair opportunity for everyone to participate.
A more extended version of this invitation, together with directions, can be found at http://www.livejournal.com/users/polyprogressive/. If you have any questions, please write Andrew H_oerner at polyprogressive [at] livejournal.com or call (301)325-4460 (that's my cell).
