1/29 Herstories Project Benefit in Oakland

by Herstories Project
The Herstories Project is a community based multi-disciplinary performance and art
project collecting and bringing into interactive performance women's contemporary and ancestral
stories of difference, struggle, resistance, community, survival and achievement.
Please mark your new 2004 calendar for The Herstories Benefit Party on Thursday,
January 29.

As some of you already know, I've been deeply involved with the Herstories Project for the last
four months. The Herstories Project is a community based multi-disciplinary performance and art
project collecting and bringing into interactive performance women's contemporary and ancestral
stories of difference, struggle, resistance, community, survival and achievement. The
Herstories Project is partially funded by a grant from the City of Oakland Cultural Funding
Program and supported by the Oakland City Council and Epic Arts http://www.epicarts.org/

We are counting on our community for additional support to put this show on the road and perform
for Women's History Month in March. We invite you to come to our event. If you're inspired to
give a little more, we're currently seeking donations for our auction/raffle (gift certificates,
tickets, crafts, etc), volunteers, food, etc. Just let me know in the next week or so if you
have something extra to donate.

Here are the party details. Please forward this along to anyone who might be interested. Hope to
see you there!

Much love,
Ching-In
