Oakland 25 Pretrial

Many supporters in the courtroom for the pretrial hearing. The judge issued a continuance for motions to demur and dismiss for vindicative prosecution until February 6th 2pm. Arraignment set for March 5th and trial set for March 8th.

Bobby Stein, representing some of the O25, reminded the judge that the DA's office was not complying with handing over supplemental police reports for indigant defendents despite a court order demanding compliance by today. Another lawyer suggested that the DA should be held in comtempt of court and the cases dismissed to which the judge responded that he would look into the issue on the 6th, unless the defendant's lawyers wished to file appropriate paperwork for contempt of court (not likely).
