Volunteer Santas Wanted Join the Union of Concerned Santas
Noon SF Federal Building on Tuesday, Dec 30, 2003:
Join a socially-conscious group of Santas that is
targeting the potential for voter fraud in electronic
voting machines. We will be standing by large trash
receptacles labeled "Don't Let Machines Trash Your
Vote!", ringing bells, and distributing literature
that looks like sample ballots
http://www.selftest.net/VVAT.htm to educate the
public about the risks inherent in electronic voting,
starting at the Federal Building, San Francisco,
December 30, and leading to a march circling City Hall
at 1:00 with our message. Press releases are being
sent out, and we expect media coverage.

Thank you Phil Berg, Esq using RICO http://911forthetruth.com/
to sue the government for not preventing, covering up and continuing to evade the truth about 9/11 and the 'war on terrorism.' Oh, and he's requested to depose Hussein as a key witness.

Would US government EVER stage a fake attack to get their way ?
In 1962 they were fond of robot planes and boats to accomplish such things.

# ...from Chicago, filmmaker Russ Forster comes to Oakland to present...
SO WRONG THEY'RE RIGHT Sun Jan 4 at 8pm $3 ABCO 3135 Filbert St. Oakland
ABCO Waterproofing presents the independent documentary SO WRONG THEY'RE RIGHT, with filmmaker in person. SO WRONG THEY'RE RIGHT encapsulates a 10,000 mile journey around the U.S. in search of 8-track tape and player fanatics. The film delves into reminiscences, rants, political diatribes, fantasies, fix-it tips, sales pitches, and everything else defining the skeptical yet inquisitive mind of the 8-track enthusiast. Not just a film about ‘70s nostalgia as some might suggest, SWTR serves as a statement of outrage from a population of consumers tired of being told what to consume. Director Russ Forster began his journey as publisher of the fanzine 8-Track Mind. The quirky publication has attracted notice from The Washington Post, Time, Rolling Stone, Stereophile Magazine, and many others. The growth of the ‘zine and the community of "trackers" who read it was the primary inspiration for Forster to direct this, his first feature film (after a series of 16mm shorts). 8-Track Mind has
been anthologized in three different books available in mainstream stores (RE/Search’s ZINES!, VOL. 2, THE FACTSHEET FIVE ZINE READER, and THE BOOK OF ZINES: READINGS FROM THE FRINGE). Both the film and the 'zine promote the re-legitimization of analog sound technologies. See the film, meet Russ. Feel free to bring your own snacks or drinks. Tell your friends!!

# San Francisco Gathering for Direct Action to Stop the War
DASW 2004 ASSEMBLY Saturday, January 10, 2004 11am-5pm
St. Boniface Church 133 Golden Gate San Francisco, CA
Food Provided (Please come on time and stay for the afternoon)
On January 10, 11am-5pm at St Boniface Church DASW is hosting an assembly to
take stock of the past year’s actions, get reacquainted with one another,
strengthen our network and sculpt plans of action for 2004. Come and share
your vision and ideas with other bay area activists.
In 2003 DASW brought together many of us, our organizations and affinity
groups in the strongest creative direct action resistance against the
invasion of Iraq within the US. When the US invaded, 20,000 of us shutdown
the San Francisco Financial District.
As the invasion continued and became an occupation, DASW coordinated actions
linking corporate power and profit, the Bush Administration’s empire
building policies, and the “war at home” impact on our local communities. Bechtel,
ChevronTexaco, SSA, APL, Autonomy Corporation, Carlyle Group, and the
Pacific Stock Exchange were among our targets.
During these actions we established continuing relationships with community
groups like PUEBLO (People United for a Better Oakland), ILWU local 10,
Communities for a Better Environment, West County Toxics, and the Richmond
Greens. We have also networked with groups nationally and internationally
against the WTO and FTAA at the recent protests in Cancun and Miami.
We believe that DASW has a key role to play in 2004, and we need you to join
us. Let’s think proactively and consider longer term plans that break out of
the action-to-action cycle. Gather up your friends and affinity groups and
start thinking about ideas and proposals to share at the Assembly. Together
we can strengthen our networks, organizations and create a remarkable
resistance. Contact: daswmeetings [at] riseup.net
