ATF RAIDS BAY AREA - 17 Hells Angels Arrested
The charges against those in custody include racketeering and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, ATF officials said.
"ATF's main mission is to reduce violent crime,'' said John Torres, special agent in charge of the bureau's San Francisco field division. "This was a good use of our resources.''
Asked why the Hells Angels were targeted, Torres responded simply, "We don't necessarily target. We investigate violent crimes.''
More information on the raids will be released "once we've determined the court documents have been unsealed,'' McKee said.
