OCCUPY TOWER PARK AGAINST POLICE HARRASSMENT!
Tower Park has long been seen as the “Homeless Park”, but it is, and continues to be a public one. It is a space that is paid for by our tax dollars, and should be open for any persons free use.
The Modesto Police however, think differently. The Modesto PD, has told homeless people to not be seen in the park unless they are being feed by the mid day meal truck, or Sunday Food Not Bombs. These parks belong to us, and they are ours to use for out own purposes, it’s time to RECLAIM THE PARK!
OCCUPY TOWER PARK!
On Sunday November 23rd, we will occupy Tower Park from 10am, till dark. Food Not Bombs will be serving three meals, handing out literature, providing clothes and blankets, and talking with media. Come join the occupation of Tower Park on Sunday the 23rd! Let’s show that it’s not the cops park, IT’S OUR PARK!
WHEN: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23RD
TIME: 10AM (BREAKFAST FEED) - 6PM (DINNER FEED), PEOPLE ARE PREPARED TO STAY LATER.
WHERE: 17TH AND G ST, “TOWER PARK”.
WHAT: AN OCCUPATION BY THE HOMELESS OF A PUBLIC PARK, AGAINST THE HARRASSMENT OF POLICE TO LEAVE THE PARK ENTIRELY. THREE LARGE MEALS WILL BE PROVIDED, AS WELL AS TENTS, AND SLEEPING BLANKETS/BAGS.

Who's going to pooper-scoop after the bums, they're less sanitary than dogs and we keep dogs on leashes in the park.
