The Buzz on the Street is all Gonzalez

by Buzz (Advocatewatch [at] hotmail.com)
Most of Newsom's November votes were from the uninformed Sheep, not hard core supporters of exclusion and greed. These sheep are by definition always open for re-education. Go on, reeducate a few today, it's easy and it's gratifying.

I've yet to see an article attempt to explain the wide gap between the oft-quoted, pre-run off poll numbers being offered by the local press, and the actual vote tally. Could it be they were going for a self-fulfilling prophecy by printing false info? "Matt's sudden and unexpected surge at the polls today...." (my ass) Newsom's handlers have been living in fear since Matt filed his papers.
As they well should be. A hundred Fangs with 100 papers cannot win out over word of mouth, and people, they be talking. Uh huh. Not since George Lucas released his first Star Wars film in '76 have the I seen such a clear choice between the good side of human nature and the evil side. Keep up the Buzz Ye Enlightened ones, the sheep need to hear it.

Good grief Buzz, you are truly blind and totally kidding yourself!
After the election you'll have some lame excuse as to why MG lost. It's the same lunacy that tried to predict Arnold's "loss" and now his recall.

Practice listening to Matt's concession speech, so it wont be a sudden shock.

Just look around the city - the huge, shiny Newsom posters are in expensive neighborhoods and expensive houses. Apparently landlords are putting these signs up in vacant units and homes...

I have yet to see a car, bike or pedestrian make a positive statement about Dear Gavin.

Buuuuzzzz good grief, buzz you stop that, stop talking like that buzz, I know I'm brainwashed and I don't understand but stawp it buzz.

Will the hit pieces ever stop? Funny how they failed to mention how much Newsom spends on his campaign per day.

...and funny how no one in either Newsom's camp or the mainstream news media will touch the whole Andrew Lee/Julie Lee/Willie Brown issue.

If you want an unbiased view on things, don't make the SF Chron your port of call.

You can't get honest coverage in the Examiner, either.
by not so obvious to all
Not all Newsom signs are in expensive neighborhoods and expensive houses. They're in Bayview as well. Gonzalez needs to spend some time in one of the most exploited neighborhoods in the city.

I heard the bayview office opened today, so people are headed out there tomorrow.

But instead of just writing on here what Matt should do, why not join us, and get to know the bayview a little better?

Your attitude towards those who did not vote as you suggest is petty and simple minded. While labeling those who vote as they see fit, given their perspective and information on the issues, ‘sheep’ might make you feel better about the loss, it does nothing to further your cause--if indeed you have one beyond slinging mud. Might I suggest a less ‘raDikAl’ tone and engage those around you as humans and capable of making up their own minds, as well as engaging in intelligent dialog. You might find from your conversations that your ‘reeducation’ is more of a mirror than a pipeline.

Also, your hopeful ignorance about word of mouth versus the press (of most any stripe) is certainly not based on any fact that I know. And equating the choice of mayor between one of good and evil is laughable, revealing your position as one of limited perspective. With statements like these, no wonder debates on city politics and the government functions that spring from them are often pointless and devoid of relevant fact, not to mention do nothing to make the places we live in better places. However, it does remove your own position to the margins by being, at once, downright silly and condescending.

Is to be out on the streets and talk to and meet so many people that are really excited about Matt - and I'm talking the people shopping at Andronicos . . . in the avenues . . . people who are older than 25 and not in any way hip - and then read the fucking idiot Chronicle and how *down* they are on everything. When will they implode? What a moronic paper. I guess most are, but it's just depressing to even look at it.

Any ideas on how to dissapear that paper are welcome. I'd heard they were having trouble a number of months back and prayed for their demise.
