Surveillance Camera Attacks
John Ashcroft spray paints hundreds of surveillance cameras in San Francisco with the help of activists.
Not sure if you heard already, but last night there were a big group of activists in San Francisco going around dressed as John Ashcroft spray painting surveillance cameras all over town. Looked like they'd hit over 50 cameras from the Embarcadero to the Castro, including Embarcadero center, Wells Fargo, CitiBank, Washington Mutual, and the Metreon.
They were posting up flyers at each site. I tore one down and scanned it.

I am getting a little tired of watching everyone. Trying to play god is a lot of work. There just aren't enough of us to monitor all those "phantoms of lost liberty!"
Wow! I have one whale of a speechwriter! Wonder if he is going to go to hell for lying?

The poster says that "WE" have given up our right to privacy in most public areas.
What exactly does that mean??
The last time I checked, a PUBLIC AREA was an area OPEN TO THE PUBLIC thereby with NO reasonable expectation of privacy! Shopping malls, parking lots, banks, etc. Are all PRIVATELY OWNED and thereby can put up as many surveillance cameras as they like. PUBLIC STREETS or PARKS have NO Expectation of privacy, since you never had a right to privacy in one of these places, you never gave up any such right.
SO really, All “YOU” have done is commit vandalism on property. Public property that will of course be replaced, taking money away from city budgets already pushed to the limit, or at Private Business locations will have to turn around and tighten the screw on their customers.
Either way.. Pretty stupid

Wow, you folks are sooooo cool. I just hope that someone you care about isn't robbed, assaulted, or killed in front of one of those camera's, because that camera might be the only was of catching the attacker. But you don't care about that, because all you people really want is an annonymous society where people are free to do whatever they want no matter the affect on others. You people call for anarchy but you don't really understand the ramifications of it. I give you an hint, death and destruction are two of the ramifications, I'll let you figure out the rest.
