OPPO INTEL: "Bush Is An Asshole"

by Liberez L'Ours
A scholarly inquiry into Google's news database
shows that thanks to President Bush, mainstream
media feels comfortable using the word "asshole"
in their online editions.
OPPO INTEL: "Bush is an Asshole!"
================================

For the longest time Google returned only 6 hits
on "Bush is an asshole" searches. News you need to
know is that that number is spiking -- up to 10, an
increase of 66.7%! -- and not just in the Homeland.
People all over the world seem to be reaching into
the Collective Unconscious and finding an epiphany,
a total gestalt of new understanding that reshapes
their view of the world and our Consensual Reality:
"Bush is an asshole!@#$".

These outbursts of newfound insight are also finding
their way into mainstream, reputable rags as well
as our favorites. What is remarkable isn't just the
outrage at Bush. The amazing thing is that these papers
feel comfortable including the word "asshole" in their
online editions. Thanks to Bush, assholes all over the
world are now carefully identified and categorized
by species and family. Merriam Webster will soon join
Oxford's Unabridged with an Asshole entry: "Bush, George
W. See also Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Cheney, Perle and
Lott."

Who would have imagined the uptight Aussies printing
"Asshole!" in the Sydney Morning Herald? Here is Google's
hit excerpt:

<b>Who we gunna turn to now we're the sheriff, John?</b>

Sydney Morning Herald, Australia - Oct 16, 2003

<b>... The only comments she had was a bitter tirade
against George W. Bush and his "Leave No Child Behind"
promise, and all ... I actually voted for that lying
asshole ...

(<i>By the way, that's a damn good</i> fucking <i>article,
heheh.</i>

Here are some more <i>goodies</i> from Google's search
for Bush:

<b>Saddam Hussein Arrested and Released</b>
<a href="

The Spoof (News Satire), UK - Oct 25, 2003
... A White House aide said Saddam was screaming at Bush
during the melee, "You've ruined my life you asshole! You've
taken it all away. You lying pig! ...

<b>The New Morality™ of Capitalism</b>
<a href="">CounterPunch, CA - Oct 22, 2003
... living farming. She's not buying into "this asshole's"
version of morality. Family ... Nazi Germany. George Bush is
no Franklin Roosevelt. And ...

<b>US Soldiers: 'Bring Us Home. We Are Dying for Oil'</b>
<a href="">Conspiracy Planet - Oct 15, 2003
... SHAFT - "Do you think George Bush is the wrong man to
order troops into battle when he ducked it himself?".
USA - "That asshole went AWOL and never showed up ...

Naturally -- no big surprise to anyone with two brain
cells still on speaking terms -- Google returns even more
hits for "Bush is a liar". (And that is the search for
the literal quote "Bush is a liar", not just the search
for any document containing those four words! Yep,
lots and lots of "Bush is a liar" news stories!

How surreal...

Are you interested in something even <b>more</b> surreal?

I accidentally typed this in the Google search pane:
"Bush is an assholer".

Care to guess the response?

Google politely responded with this helpful hint:

'Did you mean: "<b>bush is an <i>asshole</i></b>"
Your search - "bush is an assholer" - did not match any documents.
No pages were found containing "assholer".'

Heheh. Those AI's are scary. I do believe Google has
achieved sentience!
