first, appreciate whoever posted this here allowing myself and others not able to attend the ability to get a feel for the atmosphere.

Naturally, I'd like to see GB out the door by 2004, if not earlier, but I the problem with simply demonising him is that it creates the illusion that his removal will vastly improve things. many of his policies have been backed by democrats and none of the major players are going to change course in Iraq to a significant degree. From where I stand, it appears that only the combined resistance from within Iraq and a movement independent of all parliamentry parties is going to change things.

Please don't put too much hope in the elections, not that I'm saying don't vote, but rather that efforts outside that arena are probably going to most fruitful in the long term.
