On November 6th Amer Jubran faces his final deportation hearing in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a Palestinian man, and has lived in Jordan as a refugee. He has been in this country for over a decade.

On November 4th 2002, INS and FBI agents working in tandem, illegally raided Jubran's house. He was arrested and interrogated. He was told that if he did not speak he would rot in jail. When he asked to speak to a lawyer, he was left in prison for 17 days.

During the last year, the FBI, the INS, and the Department of Homeland Security has harassed Jubran. They have put himself and the activists with whom he works under surveillance. They have orchestrated visits to his ex-wife and all of her family members. They have visited and interrogated his former neighbors. They have told his ex-wife and her family that Jubran is a friend of bin Laden, that he was behind the September 11th attacks, and they offered a photo that they alledged was a photo of Jubran at a terrorist training camp. (It was really a photo of Jubran protesting in Boston against the racial profiling of Arabs, Muslims, and South Asians.)

Jurban spoke at the San Francisco rally.
