If 'AIDS really is a sexually transmitted syndrome (common cause -'HIV'- for old existing diseases) then why is there almost no 'AIDS' in Japan. Total cases in twenty years amount to only 7,500 or 375 a year.
The Japanese are the number one sex tourists to Thailand (Source: TAT - Tourist Authority of Thailand).
The Japanese are the largest overseas tourists visiting Nevada Brothels and even have regular bus trips to them (Sourse: Penthouse Magazine)
The Japanese travel MORE then almost any other nation.
The Japanese have a past culture that accepted homosexuality (even Samari 'swung' both ways) and have a larger than average gay community.

The Japanese are only different from other Asian cultures in that they have NO real poverty.
Have you considered that poverty NOT sex is the real cause of immune suppression?

Such statistics are meaningless.
The Japanese are also highly disciplined about sex. For example these young people who claim to be rarely using condoms don't seem to be producing babies.
For example, it would nopt be AVERAGE condom use which you would expect to make a difference in the transmission of STDs but their use in the specific circumstances when they would be most needed (somebody other than ones regular partner). AFAIK, the Japanese do NOT have high rates of STDs other than HIV/AIDS
Those wishing to claim that HIV/AIDS is NOT and STD whose spread may be controlled by measures useful in the cases of the other STDs should seek to find a place where there is little HIV/AIDS transmission but the prevalence of the other STDs like syphilis, herpes, etc. is high --- or conversely places where HIV/AIDS is common but the other STDs not.
